Order of Magnitude Group

Jeff launched Order of Magnitude Group (OoM Group) in March 2009 to help ambitious CEOs and owners obtain game changing (“order of magnitude”) valuation growth through design and execution of a HD (High Definition) Snapshot of their business three years in the future. Jeff specializes in company and product positioning, along with go to market strategy and refinement as well as building lasting market identity and channel programs.

Jeff has 20 years experience in increasing revenue, building brands and forging alliances within the software, Software as a Service and telecommunications industry.

As Vice President of Channel and Alliances at M5, Jeff oversaw all partnerships for M5 and within this role spearheaded the growth of M5’s partner program which grew from less than 10 partners when he arrived at M5 in 2003 to more than 100 active partners representing 65% of new revenue. From late 2003 until mid 2007, Jeff led all marketing efforts at M5 including lead generation, branding, and partnerships. Jeff was instrumental in building M5’s national reputation as the market leader in providing Hosted Business Phone Systems with the company winning numerous awards including: Internet Telephony Product of the Year (2007), Deloitte New York Technology Fast 50 (#5 in 2006, #19 in 2007), 2006 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 (#54), 2006 INC 500 (#274), VoIP Magazine Top 20 Companies to Watch (2006), Fierce15 (2005), Internet Telephony Service Provider Awards (2004 & 2005), Frost & Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company Award (2004), and Pulver100 (2003-2007). Also, Jeff for close to two years led M5 sales taking it over from the CEO (2004-2005). During Jeff’s five and half years with M5 (2003-2009), M5’s recurring revenue increased over six times.

Prior to M5, Jeff was the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at uReach. As uReach's Vice president of Marketing and Business Development from 1999 to 2003, Jeff made significant contributions to the building of the uReach consumer brand in the voice application space which led to over one million subscribers, the company’s first revenue generating relationships with multiple telecom service providers as customers which is now the main driver of uReach’s revenue growth, and defining a new product category and business model for the telecom industry - delivering unified communication software to consumers, businesses and service providers as a hosted service (Software as a Service).

Before uReach, Jeff served as Director of Marketing and Business Development for the OEM division of NetManage. Earlier in his career, he led the development of the consumer software brand strategy for Discovery Channel. Jeff, who received his MBA from Duke University, and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, began his career at Accenture, as a management consultant.


Jeff is a frequent speaker on the topic of marketing Voice over IP applications and Software as a Service to businesses, having spoken at the INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & Expo, ISPCON, Comptel, Frost & Sullivan’s Sales & Marketing Executive MindXchange, ITEC, New Jersey Growth Showcase, NJ Small Business Conference, SMB Nation and other industry-wide and local events. Jeff is a member of Vistage, has served on a number of advisory boards including as a founding member of the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) Marketing Council, and is a graduate in 2006 of the two year Aji Network’s Business Professional’s Course (BPC).
